Description: Health Care Organizations are required to comply with various requirements from different regulatory agencies; CMS, HRSA, OSHA, DOJ, Office of Civil Rights to name a few. Not knowing of a compliance requirement does not preclude organizations to comply with that requirement. Managing compliance can be time consuming and can increase significant business risk to organizations if it is not managed effectively. FQHCs can risk losing their HRSA funding or FTCA Coverage or may have to spend a lot time managing compliance. On the other hand Specialty Practices or Small Practices, if not compliant, may end up increasing their business risk and also the premiums on their malpractice insurances. In a worst case scenario, they may end up paying fines, penalties, or legal suits when something unforeseen happens.
