The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced new grants today that will improve the quality of care at community health centers through implementation and adoption of health information technology (HIT). The grants, totaling more than $18 million in Affordable Care Act funds, will support 37 health center networks made up of health centers across the country. Four of the awardees are California clinic networks, of which three are CalHIPSO partners – members or local extensions centers.

Congratulations to Council of Community Clinics, Golden Valley Health Centers and Redwood Community Health Network for demonstrating excellence and earning grants to support the adoption and meaningful use of certified electronic health record technology and technology-enabled quality-improvement strategies in health centers.
