Medi-Cal Attestation Deadline Extended to April 30
March 25, 2013
The registration issue that prevented providers from utilizing group volumes has been resolved. All providers who previously experienced issues should now be able to utilize their group’s volumes. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact the State Level Registry (SLR) help desk 866-879-0109.
As a reminder, the deadline for providers to apply for the 2012 program year has been extended to April 30, 2013.
March 15, 2013
The registration problem for groups and clinics that prevented providers from using group volumes has been resolved as of today, March 15, 2013. Group representatives are now able to constitute group membership for the 2012 program year and providers in these newly constituted groups are able to select group membership for 2012.
Many providers in groups constituted prior to today are still unable to establish eligibility for the program through their groups. It is anticipated that the data files for these providers will be corrected by March 20, 2013. DHCS will announce via email and on the SLR website (www.medi-cal.ehr.ca.gov) when this data file correction has been accomplished. Until this announcement is issued, group administrators and providers in previously constituted groups are urged to delay completing their applications in the SLR. Also, it is recommended that group/clinic representatives delay constituting their new 2013 groups until their providers have received their 2012 payments.
We are pleased to announce that CMS has granted a 30-day extension (to April 30, 2013) for Eligible Professionals to apply for the 2012 program year. Despite this extension, groups and providers are urged to submit their applications for 2012 into the SLR as quickly as possible. The SLR Helpdesk (866-877-0109) will be open this weekend (Saturday 8-5 and Sunday 8-12) to assist with questions and technical difficulties that may arise.
DHCS very much regrets the inconvenience this SLR problem has created and would like to acknowledge the efforts Xerox has taken in correcting the problem, and appreciates the very important 30-day extension granted by CMS. Thank you for your patience.
