Service Partners
Service Partners are individuals, consulting firms and companies approved by CalHIPSO to contract with Local Extension Centers (LECs) to assist Clinical Providers with the EHR adoption and Meaningful Use attestation process.
How to Become a CalHIPSO Service Partner
Determine if you wish to apply as a Gold Service Partner, Platinum Service Partner or Internal Platinum Service Partner.
Complete the appropriate online application.
At the end of the application you will be asked to pay the $250 annual Service Partner Fee (If you are approved as a CalHIPSO Service Partner the fee is Non-Refundable) Note: You do not have to have a PayPal account to pay with PayPal, simply click on “Don’t Have a PayPal Account?” to pay with a credit card. Approval normally takes 7-10 business days.*If approved you will need to agree to and sign the Service Partner Conditions of Participation (C.O.P.) Document (Required for ALL Service Partners: Gold and Platinum)

*Approval does not guarantee a contract for work with a LEC. All Service Partner must be approved by CalHIPSO prior to contracting with a LEC.
Gold Service Partner
A Gold Service Partner provides hourly services to a practice based on a minimum set of standards outlined in the Gold Service Partner Criteria.
If you have already been approved as a Gold Service Partner and wish to become a Platinum Service Partner please fill out the Platinum Service Partner Application Addendum
Platinum Service Partner
A Platinum Service Partner is a Gold Service Partner that provides comprehensive services tied to the achievement of Regional Extension Center (REC) milestones based on a minimum set of standards outlined in the Platinum Service Partner Criteria. Platinum Service Partners are paid on a per provider, per milestone basis. Platinum Service Partners must adhere to the ARRA Reporting Requirements
Internal Platinum Service Partners (ISP)
If your practice is a member of CalHIPSO and have the experience and capability to provide your own technical services to achieve REC milestones you may apply to become an Internal Platinum Service Partner.
ISPs are subject to the same criteria as Gold and Platinum service partners but will provide services to their own organization exclusively. ISPs receive payment on a per provider per milestone basis to be negotiated with their LEC and not to exceed $2,500 per provider to cover the cost of services for all three milestones. They are still required to pay the $250 annual Service Partner Fee.
